Sensible Transfers – East Bengal FC should target these 5 players for next season

-

Carles Cuadrat is back in business once again, this time with the Red and Gold Brigades.

After a heartbreaking 3 seasons since the first appearance of East Bengal FC in the ISL, The fans are glad to have on board one of the finest managers ever to have coached in the history of the Hero Indian Super League. Spanish Mastermind Carles Cuadrat is back in business, once again in the top-tier league of India after 2 seasons, and will look to make the fans happy, who have suffered enough in the last few seasons. Here are 5 players that EBFC should look to sign next season.

Bruno Ramires

In the previous ISL season, Stephen Constantine tried a 4-4-2 formation with a midfield including Alex Lima as a permanent presence in the starting 11 but failed to produce better results for the team. So going for another option in the midfield will be a great decision if Carles plans to do so.

Bengaluru FC’s 29-year-old Brazilian central midfielder, Bruno Ramires will be a better choice to implement in the midfield to pull the strings in that position. Despite often playing in a back three under Simon Grayson, Bruno consistently performed great for BFC since the very season he put pen to paper for the club. His contract is set to expire on May 31, 2023.

As he was a player who only has experience in playing in the Brazilian and Portuguese leagues, Fans were a bit confused on thinking how he will adapt in India and how he will compete in the Indian league as it was his first time here. Apart from goal-scoring or assisting roles as we can see that he is yet to score a goal in this league since his arrival and has only provided only 2 assists for the club.

He had a different role in the club and that was to be a strong anchor in the midfield, preventing the opponents to take control of the midfield department. And this is the type of player that EBFC is missing in their team which we can clearly see in the goal-conceding stats of the club.

Ishan Pandita

It is not new for Ishan Pandita as an active discussion in the Transfer Market and being linked with various clubs in ISL. The 24-year-old super sub is already well-known among Indian Football Fans for his astonishing ability to turn around any game by scoring important decisive goals for the club in the dying minutes. He has proven this ability on the field not once, not twice, but many times.

If EBFC can actively be in the Transfer Market to acquire the services of this fairly young Indian talent and if they succeed, It will be a great addition to the squad to increase the Squad Depth. It will turn out to be a great consistent performer in the team. Carles can also try adding Ishan to the Starting 11 and see how he performs under his guidance.

Aibanbha Dohling

Stephen Constantine always used right-back Sarthak Golui in the center-back position despite his natural position being a Right-Back. The team also conceded many goals because of the weak backline, So it is important to sign a proper center-back to sort things out. Then FC Goa’s 27-year-old experienced center-back, Aibanbha Dohling will be a better option for Carles to try including into the team for better results.

The Meghalaya-born midfielder has appeared for FC Goa in 19 matches, Scored one goal, and played 1490 minutes for the club, contributing a lot in that whole defensive line as we can often see him playing in the right-back and left-back position apart from center-back under Carlos Pena. He is also a top injury-resistant player as he has not yet missed any match for FCG because of even a slight injury, That can be a piece of great news for the fans if they can acquire the services of Aibanbha for the next season and he can play a lot better under the tutorship of Carles

Redeem Tlang

The contract of 31-year-old English right winger Jake Jervis is set to expire on May 31, 2023. Carles will need a new player as his tactics need a Right-Winger, So Carles can definitely try to sign FC Goa’s 28-year-old Indian right-winger, Redeem Tlang. Redeem played 18 matches for FCG Under the guidance of Carlos Pena and achieved 3 Goals and 2 Assists in the previous season which is a number Carles can definitely change if he joins EBFC.

If we take a look at the BFC squad of the ISL 18/19 season when they were crowned as the champions of the season, We can see that the right-wingers who played under Carles in that season, Both Udanta Singh and Xisco Hernandez has a combined 10 goal contribution as Udanta scored 5 and Xisco paved the way for 5 in that respective season. From these stats, We can see the right-winger’s supremacy that is much needed in his tactics.

Javier Siverio

As East Bengal FC’s top scorer in the previous season, Cleiton Silva has extended his stay with the club for another year. It is necessary to have a player who can support Cleiton in all ways possible in that position to create a deadly attacking combination upfront. For that, he needs another quality player who has experience in this Indian Super league and also has room to grow.

East Bengal FC can certainly attempt to get Hyderabad FC’s 25-year-old Spanish center-forward, Javier Siverio who played 1033 minutes and scored 9 Goals for the HFC side under Manolo Marquez in all competitions. And he is a Spaniard, so it will make things much easier to link up with Carles.

He has not missed any matches for Hyderabad FC since he joined the club, He was either in the starting 11 or was subbed in every match of Hyderabad FC from the 21/22 season itself and that proves his worth and why EBFC should sign him to increase that depth in the team and to create more chances for the club, and help the club in all ways possible as he is a player with a lot of vision and skills, Anyone who watched him plays they will know that he is a gem.
