2) Gaurav Bora
The Assam born man shifted to Delhi with his parents at a young age, his initial professional career includes playing for Baichung Bhutia Football School. Due to his good performance with the team, Bora was selected to represent Delhi’s under-16 state team and was scouted to have a trial with Pune City where he got selected for Pune City FC. In November 2017, Bora was loaned to Chennai City of the I-League. He post his professional debut match but still managed to impress the coaching staff and the audience. Central defence was never his natural playing position he played as a midfielder it was only when his head coach Akbar Nawas placed him at that position.
On 9 March 2019, Bora scored a brace in Chennai City’s last match of the season against Minerva Punjab which helped the club win their first ever I-League title, and Bora’s first trophy. In june 2019 Bora was announced as a player of Delhi Dynamos and made his debut with the club now rebranded as Odisha FC. Playing for the under 23 Indian team against Uzbekistan is also one of his achievements.
