Prasanth K was roped in by the Kerala Blasters in 2016 after he was part of the AIFF Elite Academy for 4 years. In his first season with the Blasters, he didn’t get much game time except one game as a substitute. Prashanth was loaned out to Chennai City FC and his first goal for the side has become a part of folklore, as he scored a 92nd-minute winner for Chennai against the mighty East Bengal. Hailing from Kozhikode, Prasanth returned to the Blasters in 17/18 Season and even though he was plagued by injury at the start of the season, under then Blasters coach David James, the local boy was given ample opportunities and he thrived. He did well under Eelco Schattorie too during the 2019/20 season, turning out for the Blasters 12 times. The wide midfielder is out of contract right now and could attract a lot of attention from potential suitors.
