AIFF has named a 28-man probable list of the u23 players who could make the final squad for the AFC u23 Asian Cup 2022 qualifiers. While the likes of the established Dheeraj Singh and Suresh Wangjam made the list, many new faces also appeared. Some massively talented prodigies like Muhammed Nemil, Emil Benny, and Anwar Ali were omitted.

Defenders – Narender Gahlot, Bikas Yumnam, Alex Saji, Ruivah Hormipam, Halen Nongtdu, Asish Rai, Sumit Rathi, Akash Mishra, Sahil Panwar
Midfielders – Sheikh Sahil, Suresh Singh Wangjam, Amarjit Singh Kiyam, Lalengmawia, Jeakson Singh, Deepak Tangri, Rahul KP, Komal Thatal, Nikhil Raj, Bryce Bryan Miranda, Princeton Rebello
Forwards – Vikram Pratap Singh, Rahim Ali, Rohit Danu, Aniket Jadhav
India will face host nation UAE, Oman, and Kyrgyzstan in their qualifying group. The Blue Tigers kick off their campaign on 27th October against Kyrgyzstan. The final tournament will be held in Uzbekistan between 1st to 19th June 2022.
23 of the 28 men will make the final squad for the qualifiers.
