There’s no shortage of transfer and rumours in Indian Football. Up next is the Indian Arrows right back Ajin Tom. The Kerala born fullback is negotiating with Mumbai City FC and Kerala Blasters.

Ajin Tom is from Wayanad, Kerala. He is Aiff elite Academy Graduate. He joined Chennaiyin FC in 2017/18 season and was with their reserve team. He played in the I league 2nd division League with the reserve team. He then joined Indian Arrows in 19/20 season on loan from Chennaiyin FC. He made his I League debut against Gokulam Kerala. Ajin played 10 matches For Indian Arrows this season.

He has also played for Kerala state team Once in 2013 where they finished runners up. He was part of the india U16 team which finished runner up in 2015 SAFF U16 championship. India lost to Bangladesh on penalties in the final. Ajin was part of AIFF elite academy batch which was preparing for 2017 U17 world Cup.

Both Mumbai City FC and Kerala Blasters have been active in the transfer market. Both have roped in new coaches in Sergio Lobera and Kibu Vicuna respectively. It will be interesting to see how much gametime the young fullback gets for the club he signs as both the clubs have experienced fullbacks.

Mumbai City FC are currently the frontrunners for signing Ajin. But let’s not forget that the local lad from Kerala has also the option of playing for his local club in Kerala Blasters
