Coach Alison Kharsyntiew shared his thoughts on the injuries, tight schedule and much more.

On the attacking issue of the team.

In the last game, we played very well in the first half. The boys played with confidence and we’re flexible in attacks. But the only thing is that we are not clinical in the final third, it is something which we have to work on in the training and implement in the matches. Im sure that the players are mentally very strong and they will bounce back in the next game.”

On the team’s defense

The main thing is that in defense, we have to be very disciplined and follow the principles. If we follow the principles right, we will concede fewer goals. Apart from that you need to have good concentration and should be focussed from the first minute till the 90th minute.”

About Subhasish and injury updates

Subhasish is fine now, he started training. We played our last game on the 10th again, we are playing tomorrow so there is less recovery time, especially for players who have played many matches. Some players have sore muscles, but we will see tomorrow who is fresh and ready mentally and hundred per cent fit.”

Speaking about the replacement for Gallego, the coach said that it’s still in the process.

On facing Hyderabad FC

Hyderabad is a very well organised team. They are very flexible in attack, they have good foreigners and Indian players who are very talented and they perform very well. Tomorrow, we have to be very disciplined with our tactical approach and we need to give our best effort and remain determined and courageous for securing the three points.”

27-year-old midfielder Imran Khan spoke about his team and his injury.

On facing Hyderabad FC

Hyderabad is a really tough team, a really good side. We are prepared for it and are confident and hope to get the three points.”

Imran had an injury at the beginning of the season and expressed his thanks to the teams’ medical staff who looked after him and also mentioned that he is fit to play 90minutes.

Imran on preparing mentally for the games

Honestly I’m not thinking about the past, I’m just focussing on the next game and we are working hard and are preparing for it.”
