Swapnil was born in Jaipur. The 23 years old started following football when after 2010 Football World Cup which took place in South Africa. He watched the full World Cup and then completely got into football.
Before moving to Serbia, Swapnil played for 2 local clubs in Rajasthan. One of them was Jaipur FC. Swapnil plays as a wide midfielder but can also play as wingback. He is a versatile player. His height is 6’0″.
In 2018, He joined Serbian club FK Sinđelić Beograd. FK Sinđelić Beograd was found in 1937, 82 years ago. In 2012-13, they won Serbian League Belgrade and got promoted to Serbian 2nd division. Currently they play in Serbian 2nd division Serbian Cup and few other tournaments.
Swapnil made his competitive debut for the club on 26th September 2018 in a Serbian Cup match against Fudbalski klub Voždovac. FK Sinđelić Beograd won that match 1-0 where Swapnil played 60 minutes. On 5th November 2018, He made his debut in Serbian 2nd division league against OFK Žarkovo. He started and played full match. FK Sinđelić Beograd lost that match 2-1.
Apart from these 2 appearances, Swapnil made appearances against OFK Žarkovo on 31st March 2019 and Radnički 1923 on 10th March 2019. He also played in many friendlies.
In an interview, when asked about football in India, Swapnil said that football in India is just starting. Previously people were to much into cricket. But now football is also growing. The league is very good now. They are investing lot of money in Indian football. So it’s getting better, it’s improving.
After interviewer asked about his future, He said that right now he is focusing on this season. Perform well and get more game time and then see how it goes. Trying to stay in Europe as long as he can and then comeback to India.
It will be interesting to see whether Swapnil can make it more bigger and get attention of Igor Stimac to get his first national team call-up.
