FC Goa locked their horns with ATK Mohun Bagan in what turned out to be a stunning thriller albeit both the sides shared the spoils with one goal a piece. The super-sub Ishan Pandita scored for the home side and Edu Garcia scored a stunner for the away side, both as a result of set-plays.

Juan Ferrando said,

“I’m not satisfied with the result. We will always want three points from all the matches. Today we created a lot of chances but failed to convert them. And the draw is not a good result for us at the moment.

“I don’t think there was anything wrong with the finishing because in the end we had eight shots on target. It is only a problem when you don’t create enough chances but we did that.”

As the reason to why Igor Angulo didn’t start tonight, Juan Ferrando said,

“He’s not injured, last week he had an illness. We have two close games and it is important for us to protect him.”

About Ishan Pandita, Juan Ferrando said,

“I’m talking with him every day. He is good in set-plays and positional attacking. But he needs to work more. I’m always talking to him about all the minute details involved in a game that he needs to focus on. It’s the same case with Devendra Murgaonkar. We’re going step by step.”

Juan Ferrando signed off by saying that Dheeraj Singh needs time to get to know his teammates and staffs, and the methodology of the team before starting a game.
