ATK Mohun Bagan are all set to put pen to paper for signing the young sensation Liston Colaco. IFTWC can confirm that the 22 year old attacker is on his way to Kolkata bagging a chartbuster of a deal.
“The club was very keen to get the signature of Liston Colaco. It wasn’t easy for Hyderabad to let go off one of their most exciting prospects. But the transfer fee offered by ATK Mohun Bagan was too high to be denied,” said a source close to ATK Mohun Bagan.
It is being said that the deal would also be one of the biggest in terms of transfer amount being involved. ATK Mohun Bagan are reportedly ploughing in around 1 Crores for this deal and would better their past record of signing Manvir Singh for 80 Lakhs.
Liston Colaco recently made his debut for Team India, after having a stupendous outing in the ISL donning the Hyderabad yellow. Liston displayed his flair on the ball, with some pin point crosses and quick feet dribbling. He also had 2 Goals and 3 assists under his belt, which made him one of the most sought after names in the league.
Liston’s upward surge from the Salgaonkar youth setups to narrowly missing out the playoffs with Hyderabad FC and finally making his debut for the National Team against UAE is quite laudable. His absence from the squad would definitely be tough to fill in for Hyderabad FC whereas on the contrary, the Mariners would be overwhelmed with their latest signing.
