After several rumors floating around and after the change in the management and the coach of Kerala based ISL club, Bartholomew Ogbeche is all set to extend his stay with Kerala Blasters.

Bartholomew Ogbeche came to Kerala with his former boss Eelco Schattorie from NorthEast United FC, after having a splendid season with the Highlanders in ISL-5 and taking them into the semi-final for the first time in their history. The former PSG striker impressed all the critics with his goal-scoring ability, netting 12 in 18 matches for the Highlanders.

He then signed for Kerala Blasters for ISL season 6 where he started the tournament in the position where he left in ISL season 5, scoring a brace against the eventual champions ATK FC in front of a 50,000 yellow brigade and gave them the start what they wanted to. The Frenchman partnered with Raphael Messi Bouli in the striking zone to help his team to finish in a better position. Although scoring fifteen goals in sixteen matches including a hat-trick, his team still ended at seventh in the points table and failed to qualify for the playoffs this season.

The rumors were floating all around after former I-League winning coach Kibu Vicuna joined Kerala Blasters, that he is not going to stay, Sandesh Jhinghan’s departure acts as a catalyst in the rumor along with the change in the management for the Blasters. Hopefully, Bartholomew Ogbeche will be able to continue his top form under Kibu Vicuna.
