For the first time in ISL, Bengaluru FC faced their third consecutive lose against Mumbai City FC today.
The Spanish head-coach Carles Caudrat addressed the media in post-match press conference.
Speaking upon the match, Caudrat said,
“I think we have to still improve lot as we know, there are still some players who hasn’t shown their best form yet. We had a plan to face Mumbai City FC. Our plan was to counter-attack with our pacey players. We created many chances but were not enough to score goals.”
“The team created a chance in 3rd minute of the game and if Brown would have scored it, then it was a completely different game tactically. But we have to accept the result as our plan didn’t worked today. They took the opportunity to play in space and bagged the win,” he added.
Carles also spoke about the performance from from other ISL teams and told,
“I think both ATK Mohun Bagan and Mumbai City FC are consistent team currently. I think we already need to understand that we have to fight for the spot of playoff’s now because it’s looks like ATK Mohun Bagan and Mumbai City FC will get the AFC Champions League spot being on top of points table at the end of the season.”
On performance of club compared to last season, Caudrat said,
“The changes has been happened in the team so it’s needed to teach the new players, the way we want to play the game. The club took the decision to change the defence. Last season, we had the best defence so we conceded less goals. Nishu and Serran left for other club offers. But, I respect the decision of the club management.”
