A stellar of a match between Chennaiyin FC and ATK Mohun Bagan with end to end action ended with zero goals to both the sides’ names. The spoils were shared. Unfortunately with seven shots on target, Chennaiyin could not take the lead tonight. Arindam made sure he kept his clean sheet for one more match.
On that being a growing concern, Csaba László said,
“Creating chances is very difficult. I’m happy that we’re creating so many chances. We had the chance to score three goals maybe, but I’m sure that we will score soon with the same style of play in the later stages of this tournament.
“I’m happy with how the boys performed and adjusted to the tactics. Because to play this game just after two days is not easy. We change our shape for defending set-plays and it worked out well for us today. So, it’s a sign that we’re moving forward and the goals will definitely come.”
On Reagen Singh’s comeback, Csaba László said,
“Reagen is an intuitive and very interesting player. I’m a bit sad that I met him late. You don’t see very often in the Indian League a right-back giving good crosses and shots, Reagen is capable of both. He upped the game from his side for the team and he showed he deserved to be in the first eleven.”
Csaba László also mentioned that Deepak Tangri and Rahim Ali are two biggest developments in Indian Football this season. The gaffer signed off by saying that Rafael Crivellaro’s injury updates are yet to be received as the player twisted his ankle and he suggested that Esmaël Gonçalves might be able to fill in for Rafael Crivellaro.
