A thriller of a contest between SC East Bengal and Chennaiyin FC came to an end with two goals a piece as both the sides shared the spoils tonight. LZ Chhangte and Rahim Ali scored for the away side and Matti Steinmann scored a brace to save SC East Bengal from drowning tonight.
Csaba László didn’t have much to complain when asked if he thinks the scores have justified the match. He said,
“We lost two points today, and it’s really hard to take it, because we’ve stayed on side for most of the part but we’ve missed a number of chances that we had created. Because of this, I’m speechless and disappointed.”
On Chhangte getting on the scoresheet, Csaba László said,
“I’m very happy that Chhangte scored. I have been working individually with him, and I feel he deserved the goal today. I’ll hope he continue to score goals moving ahead.”
Csaba László expressed his immense disappointment on Jakub Sylvester missing scads of chances as he didn’t expect someone of his calibre to perform so poorly.
Csaba László also acknowledged his team’s defense wasn’t upto the mark. He said,
“In every game your opponents will create chances. In today’s game we missed two easy goals, one was score against us on a set-piece. We have to work on those defensive errors and be more consistent in the back-line.
“We don’t have much time against ATK Mohun Bagan, but it is going to be a different game”, Csaba László signed off.
