Delhi Dynamoes rope in former Valencia player

What’s the buzz?

Delhi Dynamoes seemed to have followed the trend of signing Spanish footballers as the Capital-based side recently secure the signing of central defender Carlos Delgado who played for Valencia and several other Spanish clubs.

The journey so far

Carlos Delgado was born in Puerto Real, Cadiz in the Andalusian province of Spain. He started his youth career with Malaga CF and represented their reserve side in 15 matches during 2007-2009. Meanwhile he was in talks with Eredevisie side Sparta Rotterdam and joined the club later.

However he failed to get enough playing time there and signed for Valladolid B team in 2009 and played 31 matches for the Spanish side. He then tried his luck with various other Spanish sides which includes clubs like Almeria B, Orihuela, Valencia B, Leganes etc.

In 2015-16 season, Delgado signed for Recreativo and played 31 matches for the side. He then kept on changing clubs as he played for another two Spanish Clubs namely Albacete and Castellon in the next two season.

In Castellon he represented the side in 33 matches and caught the attention of the ISL club Delhi Dynamoes who makes no mistakes in signing the 29 year old central defender.

What’s next?

Carlos Delgado is an important signing for Delhi Dynamoes. The ISL side performed below per level in the last Hero Indian Super League season. Delhi Dynamoes would definitely like to bounce back stronger this time specially with the inclusion of Carlos Delgado.
