Wes Brown
The English professional signed for Kerala Blasters in August 2017 along with former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen, He partnered with Sandesh Jhinghan in the centreback position but the season did not go well for Kerala side. The two-time Champions League winner also scored a goal during his stint in Kerala Blasters. He officially retired after playing for Kerala Blasters.

Mikael Silvestre
The former French international joined Chennaiyin FC in the first year of the Indian Super League and was bought for a huge amount of money. Although Chennai did not perform well in the first edition, the former Manchester United defender left the club after playing fourteen games and scoring one goal for Chennaiyin FC.

Dimitar Berbatov
The Bulgarian striker’s stint in India was not at all good as he was most often used as the substitute under another England legend David James in Kerala Blasters, scored only one goal in nine appearances he made in the yellow jersey. Then he was released by the management in March 2018. After remaining club for a year, he finally announced his retirement on 19 September 2019.
