It has savored the peaches and Cream, as well as the sour grapes. Holding such absorbs, we move into the next encounter as our Highlander are set to engage with the Red Miners to keep hold of these promising challenges.

The confident Gerard and his prime boy Gallego addressed the press today ahead of their next clash against Jamshedpur FC which is scheduled on 18th December at Tilak Maidan Vasco stand in Margao. In views contrasting to the Game style and the centric approach of the Highlanders’ side; Gerard opined his eyeshot and clinched that his side doesn’t rely only on counters and opens up to play aggressive and attacking upfront. ” I don’t think we are defensive. We are the second team that scores more goals, we’re one of the best attacking teams in the league but we are also a team who knows how to defend and we defend quite well, and I am saying all this based on the stats, you know well ” said Nus.

Corresponding to new challenges, Jamshedpur too redeemed from their hard lucks, and are through an exemplary form of late. Alike the last season, Centre forward Nerijus Valskis has marked a distinguished start to this season too, clouting stunning goals for his side.

“They are a big threat for any team. They are also on a good run. They have not lost in the last five games and are for sure going to be a tough team tomorrow. They can create something from nothing and that’s something that we are aware of and are going to be ready. Of course Valskis is a good player who can score at all fronts , and can impose a stout threat to any team. But we’re all ready to foist a tough challenge and ensuring to stop him from all sides.” stated Nus.

Alike this season, the Highlanders had a brilliant start to their previous season but hard was the luck as they crippled in the meantime, which further lead them to the below rankings and it was a season to forget for them. “This is a competitive league and we will try to prove this kind of a statistic wrong, and if we get the three points tomorrow that’s going to be the best start ever for us. The team wants more. We are not just comfortable in the current position. We will be aiming to go for the top spot.” opined Gerard positively.

“We are working hard to be sure that we are not going to lose and try to go for three points in every single game but I am not worried that one day it might happen , this is very uncertain. We’re working really hard, and we’re sticking to our identity. We have our best resources. We have a compatible squad. Efficiency Match, the App we designed years back is now quite helpful and it helps our players to operate with the strategies and it’s fun. And I’m proud of what we have done so far.” he added further.

Moving onto the captain, Fedrico (Gallego), who was rested in the previous matches due to injury concerns, seemed fit and positive now. Of late, the Uruguayan is coping well with the situations and training himself to be fit in this bio-bubble secure. ” We guys are doing a great job now, and our coordination is clicking well. Our youngsters are commendable up the front, and as a team, we know how to work together on the pitch and we hope to continue in this way to get the win and three points…” concluded the Captain.
