Reigning I-League Champions Gokulam Kerala FC have completed the signing of 21-year-old forward Dilip Oraon for an undisclosed transfer fee from CFL side United SC, IFTWC can confirm.
Born in Kolkata, Dilip started his career with the East Bengal U16 team. During the 16/17 season, he signed for Kolkata based side United SC. He has been part of the club ever since then.
The forward was a crucial player for the West Bengal Santosh Trophy team’s campaign in the last edition. He even scored some of the most crucial goals for Bengal in the most important games.
Dilip had also scored in the semifinals against Manipur to seal the victory while he scored in the final to give West Bengal the lead in extra time after the teams were tied in the regular time.
The youngster will be a good addition to the Malabar-based side that aims to defend their I-League trophy and get promoted to the ISL next season.
