Inter Kashi FC have signed goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya and midfielder Asif Khan, IFTWC can confirm.
The team based in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh will make its debut in the I-League this season and they have already signed Peter Hartley, and Sehnaj Singh as of now.
Arindam needs no introduction. He has plenty of caps in the ISL with stints in clubs like Pune City FC, Mumbai City FC, Bengaluru FC, ATK FC, ATK Mohun Bagan, SC East Bengal, and NorthEast United FC.
The 33-year-old has also appeared for several I-League sides like Churchill Brothers FC, Mohun Bagan AC, Bharat FC, and Sporting Club de Goa.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old Asif Khan has been part of Mumbai City FC’s academy. He had impressed with their youth and reserves side. The attacking midfielder has been part of the Islanders’ first team since the 2019/20 ISL season although the game time has been very limited over the last few years.
Under head coach Carlos Santamaria’s tutelage, the side from Kashi, a holy and religious city, hopes to represent them and perform well in the I-League, and get promoted to the ISL next season.
