Vanlalzuidika Chhakchhuak will put pen to paper for a new deal which will see him don the red of Sudeva Delhi FC after transferring from Aizawl FC, IFTWC can confirm.
The Mizoram-born player was a regular feature in Aizawl FC’s 2020/21 I-League campaign. He attracted a lot of interest from multiple Indian Super League clubs.
Vanlalzuidika was one of the major positives for Aizawl FC in their lackluster I-League campaign last season, making 11 appearances for the Mizo club. Despite finishing 7th in the first phase of the competition, Aizawl conceded only 8 goals in 10 games. Only the top 2 teams in the phase conceded lesser.
Vanlalzuidika began his career in the Mizoram league, representing Chhinga Veng FC. He also made 9 appearances for the club in the I-League second division in 2019 before signing for Aizawl in 2020.
Under Chencho Dorji, Sudeva Delhi finished 8th in the first phase and 2nd in the relegation stage in their inaugural I-League campaign. Like last season, the Bhutanese coach will be going with an all-Indian squad and Vanlalzuidika will lead the defensive line of his side.
