After a brilliant season in I League, young colts are set for journey in Indian Super League. After u17 World Cup, ISL clubs didn’t wasted their time in securing signatures of these young players.
Just few days after India u20 clinched a win against Argentina u20, Mumbai City FC completed the signing of centre back Anwar Ali. Anwar Ali scored against Argentina u20 with a brilliant free kick. Anwar is known for his strength and tackling. He has been consistent throughout the season for Indian Arrows. He is pillar of Indian arrows defense. Islanders will be hoping that Anwar continues his form in ISL. Anwar had signed a 3 year contract with Mumbai City FC in 2018.
During August- September, Jamshedpur FC annouced signings of Amarjeet Singh Kiyam and kolhapur born striker Aniket Jadhav. Amarjeet is a midfielder. Amarjeet was captain of India u17 team which played World Cup. Aniket is currently training with Blackburn Rovers in England. He will be there for 3 months. Both players were part of India u17 which played World Cup. Both have signed 3 year contracts.
Chennaiyin FC stunned everyone after they announced the signing 3 Indian arrows players. They signed Forward Rahim Ali and midfielders Abhijit Sarkar and Deepak Tangri. All the three players have signed 3 years contract each. It will be interesting to see how things shape up next season in Chennai. Indian arrows players Samik Mitra and Aimol Reamsochung are also on loan from Chennaiyin FC
ATK also snatched the signing of pacey winger Boris Singh. Boris is very versatile player. Mostly he plays on the wings. Boris is known for his blistering pace and trickery. Boris has been brilliant this season with Indian Arrows. ATK fans were very happy after the signing was announced.
Last but not the least. Kerala Blasters created huge buzz when they announced the signing of Jeakson Singh. Jeakson is one and only Indian player who has scored a goal in World Cup. He scored against Colombia in u17 World Cup 2017. Jeakson was with Indian Arrows on loan from Minerva Punjab. But Kerala Blasters signed him for 3 years. Kerala Blasters also signed Winger Nongdomba Naorem. He is with thier senior squad currently.
It will be interesting to see how much first team action these young colts get in ISL. Controversies are going regarding top division league of India. Apart from other I League clubs, Future of Indian Arrows is also uncertain. So it will be interesting to how many of the remaining Indian Arrows players will choose to sign for other clubs.
