The former Norwich City striker is a product of the Tottenham Hotspur academy. Born in Harlow, England, his earlier clubs include Grays Athletic, Southend United, Leyton Orient, and Scunthorpe United. It was in 2010 when Hooper went out of England at the age of 22 after signing with the Scottish Premier League side Celtic, where he scored 83 goals in 138 league matches and two Scottish Premiership titles to his name. He was also the top scorer for the 2011-12 season, which lead his way to English Premier League side Norwich City, who signed him in 2013. With a total of 70 matches and 20 goals for the club, he was loaned to Sheffield Wednesday in the 2015-16 season. Hooper found his way to Australia for replacing Wellington’s star striker Roy Krishna, who moved to the ISL. His last season with the Nix saw 8 goals and 4 assists in 21 matches and was roped in by Kibu Vicuña’s Kerala Blasters who were looking for a replacement for Bartholomew Ogbeche.
