Yadwad has attracted a lot of interest from scouts and supporters with his impressive performances for FC Bengaluru United in the Bengaluru Super Level Division and the I-League Second Division last season.

“Kerala Blasters were interested in signing him, but the deal never advanced, or were the Blasters close to securing his signature contrary to the reports,” a source close to the development informed IFTWC.

His performances made him one of the hottest prospect in the market this season. And Chennaiyin FC wasted no time to hand the 22-year-old promising youngster a three year contract at the club.

It is anticipated that the inclusion of this youthful phenom in the Chennaiyin FC squad would strengthen their offensive capabilities and provide them a much-needed advantage in the final third. With the likes of Vincy, and Ninthoi in the mix the team will have some really good options to consider in the flanks.

The Marina Machans have already lost their captain Anirudh Thapa who has signed for Mohun Bagan. With the return of experience campaigner Owen Coyle, Chennaiyin FC will undergo a rebuild for the future with young players in the fray and Irfan is likely to be a part of that, without a doubt.
