The 2016 ISL winning and 2019 I-League winning goalkeeper Debjit Majumder, and the former SC East Bengal defender Narayan Das are all set to don the Chennaiyin outfit for the 8th iteration of the Indian Super League.
Debjit Majumder featured for SC East Bengal in the last season of the Indian Super League and will don the colours of Chennaiyin FC in the upcoming season. He has played for several prominent clubs such as ATK, Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, Mumbai City, United Sikkim and so on. Narayan Das has plied his trade for clubs such as Odisha FC, Delhi Dynamos, FC Goa, Pune City, East Bengal, Dempo SC and so on.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper has held good records under the bar and is well-known for his stint at ATK wherein during the finals he pulled a great upset by showcasing his best in the penalty shootout against Kerala Blasters.
Debjit Majumder underwent his youth career at Uttarpara Netaji Brigade and started his senior career in the year 2008. Narayan Das spent his youth career at Tata Football Academy and started his professional football career in the year 2012. Since then both of them have gone on to prove their talent in all the clubs they plied their trades for. These players will indeed be great additions for the ISL 2017-18 winners, Chennaiyin FC, after a disappointing 7th season.
