The Indian Super League club Chennaiyin FC are all set to sign 28-year old Slavko Damjanović, IFTWC can confirm.

The six-foot-one inch tall Slavko played most of his matches in the Montenegrin League. “Slavko will be joining Chennaiyin FC squad soon as almost all formalities have been completed,” said a source who has been tracking the defender’s movements very closely.

Looking at his prior experience, Damjanović started his career at Serbian club FK Spartak back in 2012. After a season with them, he made his move to FK Backa. By his versatile defending abilities, he found himself signing for Hungarian club Bekescsaba in 2015.

Later, he plied his trade for South African side Bidvest Wits FC and then Uzbekistan’s Lokomotiv Tashkent.

Last year, Slavko played for FK TSC Backa in the first tier league of Serbia. He also played Europa League Qualifying round matches, which indicates he is the one at the back who can be a valuable performer.

As revealed by IFTWC earlier, midfielder Ariel Borysiuk will be joining the Marina Machans. The addition of Damjanović at Chennaiyin FC will surely be the thing to watch out for.
