ISL- Chennaiyin FC set to sign Salam Ranjan Singh from ATK Mohun Bagan

Chennaiyin FC has reached an agreement to sign ATK Mohun Bagan defender Salam Ranjan Singh on a free transfer, IFTWC can confirm.

Salam Ranjan Singh, who joined ATK from East Bengal in 2019, will sign a multi-year contract with the Supermachans. He has also played for Bengaluru FC, Pune FC, and Northeast United FC in the past. The player spent most of his time on the bench while at Bagan and will now be eager to get regular playing time at his new club.

The defender was not even registered by The Mariners before the winter transfer window last season. The player and the club have parted ways despite an existing contract ending in 2022 due to insufficient playing time.

Salam Ranjan Singh will be Chennaiyin FC’s second Indian signing after Narayan Das. A deal with East Bengal goalkeeper Debjit Majumder is also in the works. They have also extended the contracts of forward Rahim Ali and defender Reagan Singh.
