FC Goa is all set to complete the signing of Dylan Fox from Northeast United FC, IFTWC can confirm.

Northeast United wanted to extend Fox’s contract, but the defender has chosen to join the Gaurs. Fox was one of the best defenders in the league last season and was a wall at the back for Northeast. His performance last season helped The Highlanders to finish third in the group stage and reach the semifinals. With his age on the younger side, the 27-year-old has the potential to be an excellent player for the club for many years to come if he can keep up his form from last season.

During his stint in the A-League, the 27-year-old featured for the likes of Central Coast Mariners and Wellington Phoenix. He received the titles of Fans’ Player of the Season and Best U-23 Player of Wellington during his time in Australia as well.

The Gaurs were also offered players from Iran, Tajikistan, Australia, and an ASEAN country, with a defender from Iran being their second and one from Tajikistan their third choice respectively, but they opted for an ISL experienced player in Dylan Fox.

James Donachie earlier had returned back to the A-League after his loan spell with FC Goa concluded and an Asian player had to be signed to fill the mandatory Asian spot in the squad. Dylan Fox replaces Donachie as a like-to-like replacement and is expected to form a strong defensive pair at back with Ivan Gonzalez.

FC Goa announced the signing of Airam Cabrera a few days ago, after bidding farewell to Igor Angulo and now, they’re all set to announce their last foreign recruitment for this season in the coming weeks.
