ISL – Hitesh Sharma to continue at Hyderabad FC

-

Hitesh Sharma is set to continue with Hyderabad FC as the latter is unwilling to let him go and wants to retain him for the duration of his contract which is due to expire next year. Hitesh Sharma has had four clubs showing a great deal of interest in him but their advances have been thwarted for now.

From his genesis at the Chandigarh Football Academy and Tata Football Academy in a short while, Hitesh Sharma has become a mainstay in Manolo Marquez’s squad, making his name a constant in the squad’s starting eleven. He made his transfer to Hyderabad FC as a free agent after spending a few years with ATK and has frequently featured in Hyderabad’s midfield making 19 appearances in the 22-23 season. He is known for his accuracy and his ability to maintain a very effective supply line for the forwards to score.

Under the tutelage of Manolo Marquez, he has developed tremendously and has gotten the exposure to play with and against international players while carving a spot for himself within a team of stalwarts. He has held down the position along with Borja Herrera for most of the past season. Although he is unavailable for a change of colours in the near future, when his contract runs its course he is sure to be one of the hottest players on the market, with every team trying to get him to sign on.
