NorthEast United FC has strengthened their attacking force with the addition of young promising striker Manvir Singh on a three year deal. The striker is all set done the northeastern colours for the upcoming season.
Punjab born 20-year-old started his youth career with Banglore-based Ozone FC. He got promoted to their senior team and has scored a total of 3 goals in a total of 8 appearances for the Banglore outfit.
Standing 5ft 9inches tall, Manvir Singh back then gained interest from many I-League and ISL clubs and it was Kerala Blasters FC who won the race in securing the striker’s signature in 2019.
In December the same year, Manvir Singh was loaned out to Indian Arrows, with whom he played in the 2019-20 I-League. Manvir made his debut in I-League against Churchill Brothers FC where the Arrows won by a 2-1 margin. He made a total of 7 appearances in the sum total of league matches.
After the loan campaign with the Arrows, Sudeva FC signed Manvir Singh where he registered a good stint of performance with one goal in his total eight appearances for the Delhi outfit.
The Punjabi striker has the potential to become a good Number 9 with proper training and match experience. The player also thinks NorthEast is the perfect place to shape his career. The highlanders are eagerly waiting to see how Manvir Singh shines under Khalid Jamil in the white and red.
