One of the highly rated yet underperforming striker in the league, Deshorn Brown of Bengaluru FC is set to switch sides with NorthEast United FC his new home, IFTWC can confirm.
Deshorn Brown, in his stint with Bengaluru FC, scored thrice in the 2019-20 season. Expectations were high from him as this season started. But he was only able to assist once in the 10 matches that he played this season for the blues.
The Jamaican forward began his football career with US Based outfit UOM Rams, before joining Des Moines. After spending five years in America, he moved to Norwegian club Vålerenga Fotball. He then moved to China for some short stints before coming back to the USA and then to Spain. He then joined Bengaluru FC during the January transfer window of the 2019-20 season.
He also played for the Jamaica national team scoring twice in the fourteen games he played. It is learned that Kwesi Appiah is injured and may be out for the season. So, it seems a like to like change in the team.
NorthEast United FC has so far, been playing good. Everything is going good for them except for the finishing by the strikers, which is lacking in their team.
Both Sylla and Appiah were only influential in the beginning but as the season passed by they were out of touch.
The signing of Brown may spark their attack which they were lacking.
