Eversince the inception of Hero ISL, the tournament have given birth to many players who represented their countries at the senior most national levels whereas for some others, the tournament have paved a way to find better opportunities in some other superior leagues. Today in this article we are going to look back at some of the players who had progressed through ISL to find themselves in a more competitive environment.
1. Duckens Nazon
The French-born Haiti international joined ISL-based outfit Kerala Blasters in 2016 where he featured for the Kochi-based side in 7 games where he netted 2 Goals. Nazon then made his way to join Wolverhampton Wanderers after his short stint with the Yellow Army. After his loan stint with Coventry City and Oldham United, Nazon signed for Belgian First Division side Koninklijke Sint-Truidense Voetbalvereniging in 2018. Although Nazon struggled to establish himself as a first team player there, but his progress from the ranks of ISL to the Belgian top league to play for De Kaneries is worth appraisal.
