Rating: 7.5/10

Bengaluru based club retained their title winning core defense from last season. Except three young defenders from last season, all the other defenders are set to play for the champions in the sixth edition of Indian Super League.

Experienced Rino Anto will add depth to the defence at the back. Harmonjit Khabra will be a vital player for Bengaluru FC at defence with his tackles.

Former Bengaluru FC star midfielder Eugeneson Lyngdoh returns to Kanteerava after his two years stint with ATK. Bengaluru also signed former Chennaiyin FC midfield general Raphael Augusto on a free transfer. The Brazilian will need to prove himself to Carles Cuadrat to be in the startling lineup. Erik Paartalu and Dimas Delgado has been consistent for the Blues in the past for Carles.
With  new signing Suresh Wangjam, joined in summer along with Prabsukhan Gill will be an option for the Spanish coach in the midfield. Indian national side regular Udanta Singh will be ready to send in some juicy crosses inside the box from the flank as he always does for his national side.

Forwards:

Rating: 8/10

Indian veteran forward Sunil Chhetri will lead the attack from front for Bengaluru FC. While, BFC will miss their former striker Miku, who was their regular goal scorer. The experienced striker joined Cyprus side after spending two seasons with Bengaluru FC. Miku joined Bengaluru FC from Spanish side Rayo Vallecano during 2017-18 season.
Another Indian international, Ashique Kuruniyan joins the club from FC Pune City. The Keralite is known for his pace and strength up front in the attack. This addition will bolster Bengaluru FC’s attack. Manuel Onwu is also new to the BFC setup, who has previously plyed his trade in Spain. Carles will also have Semboi Hoakip and youngster Edmund Lalrindika as attacking options.
With this depth in squad, Bengaluru FC will for sure secure the semi-final spot, failing to reach that will be a big surprise. Skipper Sunil Chhetri will be eager to get his side to another ISL trophy on trot. Carles might also need to rotate the squad keeping the AFC competition in mind, which is not something new for the club.
