-

IFTWC can exclusively confirm that the 31-year-old Spanish defender, Tiri is all set to join Mumbai City FC.

The Spaniard has already announced on social media that he has parted ways with ATK Mohun Bagan FC. Mumbai City FC saw this as a perfect opportunity to acquire the services of Tiri as Mourtada Fall is not expected to continue with the club any longer.

Mumbai City FC is looking forward to boosting their backline by bringing in Veteran ISL defender, Tiri who carries a lot of experience in the league. As the club has already extended the contract of Australian defender Rostyn Griffiths for another year, this Spanish-Australian defense is already looking very strong. Tiri also won the ISL campaign with ATK in 2016.

The Spaniard has also played for Spanish clubs like the Atletico Madrid B team, Cadiz CF B team, Marbella FC, etc. He was transferred into ISL from the Atletico Madrid B team in the 2015/16 season and has proved his mark among the fans for his incredible vision in the backline. He has also plied his trade for Jamshedpur FC for 2 seasons and is still loved and respected by the fans for everything he has contributed to the club.

Tiri began his youth career with the Cadiz CF U19 team, Then he got promoted from the U19 team to the B team of the club in the 2009/10 season. Later after 3 seasons, He was signed by the Atletico Madrid B team in the 2012/13 season. The 2015/16 season was his first season playing for any club outside his Homeland, Spain when he was signed by ATK that season at the very young age of only 23 years old, and that started off his incredible career in the Indian top-tier league and paved the way to what he is now.

With this signing, MCFC has officially started their hunt in the Transfer Market hopefully to pull off some huge transfers, this offseason ahead of the upcoming Hero Indian Super League Campaign.
