Kerala Blasters have announced the contract extension Goan fullback Jessel Carneiro.

Jessel Carneiro Kerala Blasters

Jessel was a stand out performer for Kerala Blasters last season. The man from Curtorim made some fantastic whipped in crosses and managed to grab 5 assists. He is one of those rare Indian fullbacks who is equally good in both sides of pitch.

Before signing for Kerala Blasters, He spent most of his career at the coasts of Goa with Dempo. He had short loan spell with FC Pune and then FC Bardez. He was regular in the Goa Pro League which recently became an hunting ground for ISL clubs. He has played as left winger and center attacking midfielder apart from his natural position of left back.

Jessel was a unknown commodity for many. Eelco Schattorie showed faith in him in his very first season in ISL. He didn’t fail to live upto expectations and proved his talent. Apart from his 5 assists, his technical game and tackles were also worthy of appreciation. Jessel has penned down a new 3 year deal with the club. Kerala Blasters have also signed Nishu Kumar from arch-rivals Bengaluru FC but it is likely that Nishu will be playing on the right side of defense. Definitely the pair of Jessel and Nishu will be one to watch out for.
