Ahead of the clash against Kerala Blasters FC, FC Goa’s head-coach Juan Ferrando addressed the media in a pre-match press conference.
Speaking upon the challenge to be in top two, Ferrando said,
“We want to be in the 1st position and also would like to have 3 points from each game. But the most important thing is to focus game-by-game. It will be better now if we look forward towards the game against Kerala Blasters only.“
“Sometimes in the last minutes of the match, we lose points. But we always try to improve the necessary details and focus more on tactical aspects. We are professionals who play 90 minutes of the game and fight till the end,” he added.
Commenting on the challenge against Kerala Blasters, the head-coach told IFTWC,
“In my opinion, it will be a very difficult game tomorrow. Because they always try to attack free spaces, they are fighting for the second ball and many other minor things. They want to play football and it will be a beautiful game.“

Juan Ferrando shared his thoughts to IFTWC exclusively about the FC Goa development team who will be competing in upcoming Goa Pro League,
“I will be watching the results of the developmental team because I want to know about the players and make it possible to bring them up to the first team. Goa is a club who always work with the young players. They must learn here as much as possible because they are the future of Goa and Indian football. Also, it is very important that senior team players explain their experience with them to improve more.“
Recently, FC Goa signed Goalkeeper Dheeraj Singh from ATK Mohun Bagan. The signing arose the question about current goalkeeper Mohammad Nawaz and is rumoured leave FC Goa at the end of the season. Quoting on the same, Ferrando said,
“Speaking about Nawaz, everybody knows his future is not here in Goa. It’s not necessary to talk now but everybody knows.“
Juan Ferrando signed off appreciating Ortiz saying that he has been the crucial part of the team who understands the philosophy and knows to build-up the game and he can improve much more.
