Kerala Blasters announce the signing of Arjun Jayraj

After shibinraj, Arjun Jayaraj is next one who joins Kerala Blasters from local rivals Gokulam Kerala.

Kerala Blasters have strengthened the midfield for next season after a poor show in the last season. They have signed Moustapha Gning, Mario Arques and Sergio Cidoncha. They have also signed Rahul KP from Indian Arrows and Zayed bin Waleed. Sahal Abdul Samad who was Emerging player of ISL 5, signed a long term contract with the club this season. Addition of Arjun Jayaraj will further strengthen the midfield of Kerala Blasters.

The Malappuram born midfielder started his career at MSP Academy. Arjun was playing for his university against Gokulam Kerala in a friendly match. In that match, he scored a goal and impressed Bino George who signed him.

In 2017-18, Arjun was playing for Gokulam Kerala’s reserve team which was playing in KPL. He made his I League debut against Indian Arrows on 22nd December 2017. After that he has been continuously playing in the I League for Gokulam Kerala.

He plays as a attacking midfielder and can also play as leftwinger. He impressed everyone when he showed his skills and ball distribution. He has been one of the most consistent player for Gokulam Kerala in the last 2 years.

Kerala Blasters have paid Gokulam Kerala an undisclosed fee to secure signature of Arjun. It will be interesting to see how Arjun Jayaraj links up with other midfielders of Kerala Blasters.
