2018-19 》Slaviša Stojanović & Matej Poplatnik
Stojanovic came in with tremendous experience in his home country, the Serbian striker was riding high on expectations of the yellow army. He scored 4 goals in his 16 appearances for the club, despite of the comparatively he managed to seal the season as the highest goalscorer for the club alongside Matej Poplatnik.
Speaking of Poplatnik-the Slovenian striker, who had previously represented the age group Slovenian National Team was signed on a 2 year deal ahead of the 2018 season. The duo paired up well as Stojanovic headed the attack and the latter playing as a false 9 interchangeably. They both doubled up over ATK in the season opener, scoring a goal each resulting in an away win for Kerala Blasters.
2019-20 》Bartholomew Ogbeche
The 2019-20 season was highly anticipating for the Kerala Blasters as the club had a pretty good lineup on paper with the appointment of Eelco Schattorie as the head coach having tasted good portion of success with his former side Northeast United FC. The arrival of the new Head Coach, also meant that his key marksman who was no other than the Nigerian goalpoacher, Bartholomew Ogbeche.
Ogebeche had a plethora of prior experience with appearances panning throughout Europe. The former Paris Saint Germain player also played for the Nigeria NT in the early 2000’s. Having roped him in, Kerala Blasters were looking like a formidable side. The tried and tested Bart rose to the occasion scoring as much as 15 goals throughout the season. He also had the most number of goals in the league besides Roy Krishna and the Golden Boot winner Nerijus Valskis.
