Southern outfit have strengthened their defense with the addition of versatile defender.
Gianni started his youth career at Feyenoord. From 2004 to 2006, he played for Feyenoord senior team. He was loaned to RKC Waalwijk in 2005. He signed for Heerenven after 2006. He was a regular starter for them. He then played for Premier League club West Bromwich Albion. He made 60+ appearances for the club. He also had a short stint with Ipswich Town on loan from West Bromwich Albion.
Before signing for Delhi Dynamos, Dutchman had stints with Spanish side Mallorca and Cultural Leonesa and Duth clubs Heerenven and ADO Den Haag.
The 32 year old was one of the best player for Dynamos last season. He made 17 appearances and also managed to score 2 goals. One of them was against Kerala Blasters. Gianni’s heading ability is very useful, both offensively and defensively.
Zuiverloon had more lucrative contract offer from Dynamos, but he choosed Kerala Blasters over Delhi Dynamos. With Anas set to leave Kerala Blasters, Gianni can be is ideal replacement.
