Vasco SC is all set to sign Abdul Basith from KBFC Reserves for the Goa Pro League on a loan deal, IFTWC can confirm.

The 19-year-old midfielder graduated from the Reliance Foundation Academy in 2020 and has since featured for the Kerala Blasters Reserves team and India U19 National Team. In terms of tactical play, Basith is considered to be an extremely technical player. He has played in three positions- attacking midfield, defensive midfield, and as a striker. He has largely excelled in the attacking midfielder role, but has been equally impressive on the defensive side of things when deployed as a CDM.

The vision and decision-making abilities Basith displayed at the tender age of just 19 have been widely acclaimed, a part of the reason why Vasco SC wanted him in their squad. In addition to his passing ability, he is excellent at shooting as well. The player is ambipedal and a good dribbler also. The Kozhikode-born midfielder is a strong leader on the pitch as well, always speaking up and motivating others.

The Goa Pro League has been a good ground for youngsters, with many players moving on from that league to the ISL or I-League. Basith is expected to refine his game further under the direction of Micky Fernandes at Vasco SC. Kerala Blasters have bailed him out so he can get ample game-time at the top level. If everything goes well, KBFC can look forward to having a top player at their disposal in the future.
