ISL – Kerala Blasters set to sign Aiban Dohling from FC Goa

Kerala Blasters FC are set to sign Aiban Dohling from FC Goa, IFTWC can confirm.

Kerala Blasters will be paying a transfer fee close to around 80 lakhs, and Aiban will ink a 2-year-deal with his new team. Only the paperwork is pending as things stand at the moment.

Aiban Dohling has been a part of ISL side FC Goa for the past four seasons. He started his youth career at the famous Shillong Lajong Academy. He then moved to the youth setup of TATA where he managed to catch the eye of many suitors. The youngster appeared in the age category I-League tournament during his stint with TATA academy as well.

He was offered a trial with the then I-League side Shillong Lajong and signed for them after impressing in the trials in 2016. He made his debut against Mohun Bagan as a substitute that season and went on to play 25 games for them. Following a successful stint with Shillong, Aiban endorsed his future with FC Goa in 2019, signing a long term deal with the Gaurs.

Kerala Blasters

Aiban made his debut in ISL for FC Goa in 2019 coming on as a substitute during the game against Jamshedpur FC. He went on to don the jersey of the Gaurs 52 times scoring and assisting twice respectively.

Aiban has won the Hero ISL League Shield and the Durand Cup with FC Goa and has been a highly dependable and versatile defender for the Gaur Army. His ability to fill in on multiple positions in the back-line and pull off consistent performances has grabbed the eyes of top teams in the country.

Kerala Blasters have been trying to grab his signature for some time now and they have now succeeded in landing him at their club. His versatility, physical dominance and technical quality will add depth to the Kerala Blasters squad for the upcoming season.
