Ahead of the clash against Hyderabad FC, Kerala Blasters’s head-coach Kibu Vicuna and Rohit addressed the press in a pre-match press conference.

Upon being asked about the match and expectations from it, Vicuna said, “Every game is difficult. I see, Hyderabad is a very good team and had some good performance previously. We are training well and trying to improve as much as possible. I expect to have a good match against Hyderabad FC.

We are focusing on tomorrow’s game. Our objective is to get the points. After this game we will focus on game against Mumbai City FC whatever the result will be. I don’t like to talk about the whole season.” He added.

In last game against SC East Bengal, Kerala Blasters FC trailed by one goal but Jeakson managed to find the net in the injury time of second half and the game was set all squares, quoting on which the gaffer said, “We wanted three points. But, I think we had better chances than East Bengal and as a team we gave everything.

Kone and Costa are the duo whole have taken the responsibility of defence. Also, defenders like Sandeep Singh, Abdul Hakku are there but aren’t getting chances in starting eleven, on that note, Kibu said, “It’s because of tactical reasons. I choose players who are best in tactical aspect. They were the best combo not because they are foreigners. I think Sandeep, Hakku and Ruathara are also ready.”

Answering a question about, how has Kerala Blasters found Cido’s replacement, Kibu quoted, “We already have found the replacement and he is going to be with us very soon. We are happy that a player is joining us to help. After the quarantine, he will be there with us.”

Rohit Kumar joined Kerala Blasters this season and this time he will be against his former team, reacting to it, Rohit said, “When you play against your former team, it’s always feels good but now I am a Kerala player and focused for my team and want the win the game. Let’s see and hope for the best.

I think we are improving, but the result hasn’t been in our favor. As a team we are collectively helping each other. Football is a game full of emotions. The match against Hyderabad FC will be the match for sure where we start winning.” He added.

Speaking about the foreign contingent, Rohit said, “The foreign players are very experienced, they have played in various countries and helping us. They always motivate us in training and while matches. We are improving as a team and as an individual.
