This article covers the post-match press conferences of both the gaffers and is split into two pages.

Kibu Vicuña’s army suppressed the former ISL winners tonight in a thriller of a comeback at the dying minutes of the game. It was a crucial and incisive win for Kerala Blasters FC as now they have made sure that they are well in race for the top four spots. Bengaluru FC are now winless in the last seven matches, standing tied with Kerala Blasters FC and Jamshedpur FC in the points table.

Kibu Vicuña said,

“The attitude and commitment that the players are showing is in itself an integral part of the team. In the last three games we have shown a really good attitude. Tonight was a really difficult match because they have a really good team. We knew they were strong in their throw-ins and yet they managed to score a goal through that. But my team came back and I’m very happy because we bagged the three points.

“I’m happy with certain players because Denechandra Meitei haven’t gotten much chances to feature yet he put forth an amazing performance, Jeakson Singh showed me that he can play as both a central defender and a holding midfielder, and Sandeep Singh played well as a full-back. So, I’m very happy generally with the performance of the whole team.”

Kibu Vicuña said his team stuck with the same objective throughout the game and that the team sensed that Bengaluru FC had started tracking back a little bit, and utilised the right chance to score a goal.

Kibu Vicuña said,

“The next and foremost objective is to try and recover the players as we have another game in three days.”

Kibu Vicuña signed off.
