Kerala Blasters managed to notch their first win in seven games in the ISL this season. They managed to subdue one of the teams who took this season by storm, Hyderabad FC. Abdul Hakku and Jordan Murray were the two goalscorers for the Yellow Army.
Kibu Vicuña said,
“I’m satisfied, mainly because we played well against a team that has been playing really well this season. We played a good match and we deserved to win this game. I’m also happy because we’ve been training really well in the last two weeks and the results are starting to come.”
Kibu Vicuña pointed out that Hooper, Koné and Costa were injured. He said,
“They are suffering from different injuries but the point is that whoever played today put up a fantastic show, and I’m happy with the performance of Sandeep, Hakku and Jordan, they played a very good game.”
Jordan Murray put up a convincing show as the Blasters fans have been in woe because of Hooper’s underperformance. Kibu said that he’s expecting both the players to contribute and that he isn’t sure if Murray will seal the spot in the starting eleven.
Kibu Vicuña were in all praises for Sandeep Singh and Abdul Hakku, he said,
“Both of them are very good professionals, they took advantage of their chance. Both of them are an important part of the team and when the right train came, they took their bags and boarded.”
Kibu Vicuña had a word on Jeakson Singh’s performance as well, the Hero Of The Match. Kibu said,
“Jeakson is a player with a great potential, he is a player with good qualities. And the most important thing is that, he is keen to improve. He is a keen listener and he wants to improve a lot. You always want to help these sorts of players and I’m happy he had a fantastic outing tonight.”
Kibu Vicuña signed off by telling that the instruction given in the half time was to score the second goal along with some tactical instructions.
