The Venezuelan gaffer started his coaching journey with Cadiz football club and helped the club to progress in the league tier in his very first season. He then joined Venezuelan top tier-side Trujillanes. Due to his repetitive good showings in the domestic circuit, Cesar Farias was named as the new head coach of Venezuela national football team in 2007. A year later, Farias was given the job to coach Venezuelan U20 football side with which the gaffer created history as he took the side into their first-ever FIFA U20 World Cup. Farias was named again the head coach of Venezuela’s senior national football team during Copa America 2011 and the gaffer continued his excellent performances to guide Venezuelan national football team to their first-ever semi-finals of the continental tournament. Cesar Farias first came to ISL when he was named as the new head coach of Northeast United FC during 2015-16 season of Indian Super League. With Farias in the head coach position, the Highlanders finished 5th in the ISL table that season. Farias then did not continue with Northeast United FC after a disappointing season and soon joined a Paraguayan football club. Recently in 2019, he was named as the head coach of Bolivia national football team.

In his long managerial career, the Portuguese manager has spent time with Indian Super League outfit Northeast United FC and Kerala Blasters. Way back in 1994, Vingada was the head coach of Portugal national football team. In his playing days, Vingada played as a forward and represented clubs like Belenenses in the top tier of Portuguese football. His first major achievement as a manager came in 1995 when he led Saudi Arabia’s U20 side to a third-place finish in the FIFA U20 World Cup in Qatar. A year later, Vingada won the prestigious AFC Asian Cup title with Saudi Arabia’s national football team. During his stint with Northeast United FC, the Portuguese could not live up to his expectation as he finished the season on a disappointing note. After his ISL stint, Vingada was named as the new head coach of Malaysian national football team and he remained as their head coach till 2019.
