Mohammedan SC have roped in experienced Trinidad and Tobago striker Marcus Joseph on a one-year deal. He also has experience of playing in the Indian circuit as he appeared for Gokulam Kerala FC in the past. Marcus Joseph will partner with Stefan Ilcic in the striking line for the Black Panthers.
The 30-year-old left-footed striker amazed the fans with his brilliant scoring ability and dribbling skills. He scored seven goals in his debut season in ten appearances, and proved his quality in the Durand Cup, where he scored eleven goals in just five matches. He was named Man of the Match in the final against Mohun Bagan and also won the Golden Boot.
Marcus made his international debut in 2013 against Belize. His first international goal came against Grenada. The former Gokulam Kerala striker has scored seven goals till now and is a regular member of the national team squad.
After adding Marcus to the squad, Mohammedan SC looks like a balanced side and are ready to start the season. They are looking forward to the Calcutta Football League and Durand Cup, which will be the perfect stage to rehearse ahead of the I-League 2021-22, which will be held in Kolkata this later year.
