Match Player Ratings as Odisha FC taste their first ever win against Kerala Blasters FC


Odisha FC grabbed tasted their first win of the season which ended as another shameful loss for Kerala Blasters FC. There were end to end action but the man between the sticks for Odisha FC made sure Kerala Blasters stood put which resulted in a rather enticing finish to this six goal thriller.

Here is how the players of the respective teams are rated for their performance tonight:


Albino Gomes – 6.5

Albino Gomes didn’t seem to fare well tonight as he gave away four goals to Odisha FC. Couple of good parries but still a forgettable performance.

Nishu Kumar – 6.5

Nishu Kumar was struggling to do his job properly and was forced out of the pitch due to an injury.

Sandeep Singh – 7

Sandeep Singh has once again proved to be worthy of starting XI and was the stand-out today in the back-line along with the left-back.

Abdul Hakku – 6.5

Abdul Hakku couldn’t replicate his genius and had made a couple of blatant fouls.

Jessel Carneiro – 7.5

Jessel Carneiro was one of the stand-outs in tonight’s match for Kerala Blasters FC, and fared well tonight for the side albeit there were seldom tangible end products.

Jeakson Singh – 6.5

Jeakson Singh didn’t seem quite upto his mark. The back to back games seems to have affected the youngsters stamina. His mistake led to one of the goals today.

Vicente Gómez – 7

Vicente Gómez was doing an exceptional job for this side today until he failed to mark Steven Taylor, which led to a goal for the Odisha side.

Sahal Abdul Samad – 7

Sahal Abdul Samad put forth a no-nonsense performance tonight and proved to be an integral part for the side.

Facundo Pereyra – 7.5

Facundo Pereyra has been the stand-out performer for this side feeding the attacking line with as many balls as they want.

Rahul KP – 7

Rahul KP, as well, wasn’t upto his mark. His performance in the first half made a good impact but he was called off in the second half of the match.

Jordan Murray – 7.5

Jordan Murray worked his shoes off for his third start in a row for Kerala Blasters FC and scored an exclusive goal from a tight angle for the yellow army tonight.

A duel between Rahul KP and Hendry Antonay


Arshdeep Singh – 8

Arshdeep Singh was solid as a rock between the sticks for Odisha FC tonight. He made sure that Kerala Blasters FC stood put and didn’t bag the win tonight.

Jacob Tratt – 7.5

Jacob Tratt shifted to the full-back position unlike his previous matches and fared well for the Odisha FC side tonight.

Steven Taylor – 8.5

Steven Taylor was exceptional, both in the back-line and up front. He scored a goal and held the back-line to its perfection being the captain for the Odisha side.

Gaurav Bora – 7.5

Gaurav Bora shifted to the centre-back position and fared well for the Odisha FC side tonight.

Hendry Antonay – 8

Hendry Antonay put forth the best version of him tonight. He silenced Rahul KP to the fullest and gave his everything till the very last minute of the game.

Jerry Mawihmingthanga – 8

Jerry Mawihmingthanga put forth an exceptional performance tonight for Odisha FC and is now tallied with Hugo Boumous for the most number of assists this season.

Vinit Rai – 7.5

Vinit Rai fared well in abiding with both his offensive and defensive duties tonight for Odisha FC.

Cole Alexander – 7

Cole Alexander was an integral part of the Odisha FC squad tonight and was the midfield general for them.

Nandha Kumar – 7.5

Nandha Kumar, albeit couldn’t make the best out of his moves, fared really well for the Odisha FC side tonight and was an important player for the side tonight.

Daniel Lalhlimpuia – 7.5

Daniel Lalhlimpuia came in as a replacement for Manuel Onwu, and much like any striker should he worked his shoes off for the Odisha FC side tonight.

Diego Mauricio – 8.5

Diego Mauricio helped Odisha FC score 3 out of 4 goals. A goal from a deflection declared as an own goal, and two exceptional and sublime dribble and finish from his side helped Odisha FC bag their first ever victory in this season.
