Match Preview: Hyderabad FC vs NorthEast United FC, Injuries, Team News, Predicted Line-Ups and More

Hyderabad FC and NorthEast United FC are going to have an intriguing clash today at the Tilak Maidan Stadium in Vasco.

Hyderabad FC has been unbeaten in 2021, they have scored 13 goals and conceded only 6 goals in seven games in January. So entering into the new month will they be able to perform just the same as they have performed in January? Can they continue their unbeaten streak?

Khalid Jamil’s NorthEast United FC has also been unpredictable lately, after the unexpected departure of Gerard Nus, the whole league thought NorthEast United FC would underperform but they have astonished everyone by winning against ATK Mohun Bagan, Jamshedpur FC, Mumbai City FC and also by equalizing against FC Goa when they were two goals down.

It is indeed going to be an interesting battle to watch today as today’s game will have a huge impact in securing the play-offs spot for both the teams.

Halicharan Narzary, Hitesh Sharma and Apuia Ralte are the Indian players to look out for.

Halicharan Narzary has been one of the most consistent players for Hyderabad FC this season, he is the key player in the left flank for Hyderabad. The Assamese Speedster helps a lot in the defence for the team. He has four goals to his name this season, he is in the second place in the Indian top goal scorers list this season. He might score today and get on top along with Sunil Chhetri.

Hitesh Sharma is one of the best midfielders which Hyderabad FC has got, one of the most intelligent players in the league, who can understand the game very well, his decisive passes along with accurate crosses and tackles have helped Hyderabad’s midfield and defence a lot.

The 20-year-old Apuia Ralte is the youngest ever captain in the history of ISL. He has played all the matches for the Highlanders and has captained two games this season. He is one of the key players in the midfield for NorthEast United FC.

Federico Gallego, Deshorn Brown and Joao Victor are the three foreign players to look out for.

Federico Gallego needs no mention for the fans of NorthEast United FC. His accurate passes and the chances he created have helped NorthEast many times. He has created 41 chances till now. In 11 games he has got four goals and four assists to his name. He will be a key foreigner in this game.

Deshorn Brown is one of the best winter transfer in the league, he has bagged three goals in four games for NorthEast United FC. He is the reason why NorthEast has won against Mumbai City. He might be looking forward to getting a couple of goals today.

Joao Victor is the backbone of Hyderabad FC. The Brazillian is the most important midfielder for Hyderabad. Without him, Hyderabad’s midfield won’t be as stable as it is now. He can be a key player in stopping the likes of Deshorn Brown and Federico Gallego getting forward and scoring goals.

Hyderabad FC has only one injured player, their foreign player Joel Chianese is injured.

NorthEast United FC has no injured players for this game so they will be playing with their full squad.

Hyderabad and NorthEast United FC have faced each other two times last season where NorthEast United FC won the first match and Hyderabad FC won the second match.

The first leg of this season ended as a win for Hyderabad FC where they have scored four goals and NorthEast United FC managed to score only one goal.

After the departure of Gerard Nus, NorthEast United FC is in a winning form whereas Hyderabad FC has been unbeaten for 7 games, scored the most number of goals in January. Both of the teams have 22 points and it will be an interesting game to watch due to the tactical football which both of the teams play. At the end of the game, one team will be having the advantage to secure their place in the top four. So based on the squad strength we are predicting a draw for both the teams.
