Match Preview – Jamshedpur FC vs Chennaiyin FC

The 5th match between Jamshedpur FC vs Chennaiyin FC of Indian Super League will be Fascinating, surely keeping the fans on the edge of their seats.

Last season, Jamshedpur FC struggled to make their way to the playoffs. To change the fortunes, Owen Coyle who lead Chennaiyin FC to the finals last season was appointed as the new head coach. Alongside Coyle, Nerijus Valskis, the Golden Boot winner of ISL 2019-20 season was signed to assure that the ball reaches into the net swiftly. However, with the new foreign contigent, several young players were also promoted from their academy.

Speaking up about Chennaiyin FC, as mentioned above, Owen Coyle made a miracle by taking charge of the team in during mid-season in ISL 2019-20. But now as the new head coach Csaba Laszlo comes in, it will be interesting to watch how tactically they perform as the foreign players signed are new to the Indian soil. The inclusion of Indian players like Edwin Vanspaul, Dhanpal Ganesh, AnirudhThapa, Jerry Lalrinzuala and others will give a boost to the team playing alongside experienced foreigners like Fatkhullo Fatkhulloev, Isma, Jakub Sylvestre and others.

The three Indian players to watch out for will be Narender Gahlot, Amarjit Singh Kiyam and Jackichand Singh. Without any doubt, Gahlot will have defensive reponsibilities at the back while Kiyam will partner with Monroy in midfield to push higher if needed while attacking our defend in front of back four. Being a winger, Jackichand Singh’s presence in the squad will be significant to put crosses into the box.

Whereas Peter Hartley, Alex Lima and Nerijus Valskis will be the foreign names to lookout for. Peter Hartley will have sole role to partner with Indian defenders to assure for clean sheet. Alex Lima will the key player in attacking midfield position, to assist Nerijus Valskis in front.

Edwin Vanspaul, Chhangte and Anirudh Thapa will be the Indian players to watch out for. Chhangte has been exceptionally good on wings creating chances. Anirudh Thapa will commence his rule in midfield, being a link between defenders and forwards. Vanspaul will have the duty as right-back,making the run through the wings to provide key passes.

In list of three foreigners, Rafael needs no introduction for his impressive style of playing. Tajikistan international Fatkhullo Fatkhulloev, will be the one to watch on right-wing. Fans are excited to see the newly signed striker Jacub Sylvestr in action scoring goals.

Jamshedpur FC defender Stephen Eze and winger Nicolas Fitzgerald, who arrived late and took just few training sessions are a doubt for the starting eleven. Ahead of the match, both head coaches didn’t disclose any names related to injury but some names will be missing for sure.
