Match Preview – SC East Bengal vs Chennaiyin FC

-

SC East Bengal clash against Chennaiyin FC at Tilak Maidan tonight. Both the team will be facing each other for the first time in Indian Super League and surely will be aiming for a win tonight.

The newly ISL entrant, SC East Bengal are yet to find their first win and are currently on a winless streak on account of the last 6 matches. The head-coach, Robbie Fowler seems to be still experimenting with players and he’s yet to identify a proper starting eleven.

On the other hand, Chennaiyin FC would be looking to extend their win. The Marina Machans will try to improve as much as possible this time to keep the winning momentum going on, ensuring that they grab 3 crucial points at the end of the day.

3 INDIANS PLAYERS TO LOOK OUT FOR

Debjit Majumder, Anirudh Thapa and Lallianzuala Chhangte will be the Indian players to look out for. East Bengal’s goalkeeper Debjit will have the sole responsibility to guard the goal post and block shots from Chennaiyin FC. Meanwhile, midfielder Anirudh Thapa needs no mention as he has been the man in midfield who keeps the ball rolling from one flank to another and creating chances for the strikers. Chhangte will be the key man to put swearing crosses into the box and make runs, additionally making some accurate powerful shots towards the goal.

3 FOREIGN PLAYERS TO LOOK OUT FOR

The three foreigners to look out are Jacques Maghoma, Rafael Crivellaro and Eli Sabia.

Jacques Maghoma has shown his outstanding performance against Hyderabad FC, as fans will be expecting that same level of performance from him today also. Chennaiyin FC’s Eli Sabia plays an influential role in defence while the attacking-midfielder Crivellaro has been a continuous threat for the opponents. The Brazilian will strike into East Bengal’s defence for sure to add more goals and assists to his name.
