Islanders strengthen the squad with the addition of Croatian defender Mato Grgic.
30 year old Kotor Varos-born Mato Grgic started his youth football with NK Kutjevo before moving on to play for Hrvatski Dragovoljac, where he also made his senior debut in 2006. He spend five seasons with them at senior level with a loan spell at NK Rudes.
He then went on to play for Slaven Belupo before joining Hungarian side MTK Budapest before returning to play for Inter Zapresic in Croatia.
The lanky defender reunited with his partner-in-crime Mislav Komorski when both of them joined Northeast United in ISL 2018-19. Both of them played for NK Inter Zapresic previously.
Croatian defender now joins the Islanders. After having a good season, Mumbai City FC have already started to strengthen the squad. Mato Grgic and Anwar Ali pair at the back will make Mumbai City FC’s defense even more stronger.
