One of the most promising player from mizoram, Lalromawia is all set to join Gokulam Kerala.
Hailing from a small village named Samlukhai in Mizoram, the talented young footballer comes from a very humble background. His father is a farmer by profession. He has two other siblings who help their father in farming.
Lalromawia made his professional debut in the 2017/18 season for Mizoram Premier League (MPL) side Chanmari West FC. His club finished seventh among eight clubs this season. Lalromawia had netted twice in the MPL that year.
His ability to move swiftly in the middle of the pitch with the ball and his goal-scoring prowess is what attracted the coaches. In the Santosh trophy 2017-18, Lalromawia scored 4 goals and was one of the best player of the tournament.
Lalromawia was playing for Chhinga Veng this season. The enthusiastic youngster was scoring goals for his side, creating goal scoring opportunities for his teammates and became a real threat to the opposition. He scored 4 goals and had few assists to his name in the I League 2nd division. Chhinga Veng were the runner-ups of I League 2nd Division and Mizoram Premier League (MPL).
Gokulam Kerala failed to make any impression last season. But the Malabarians have been very active in the transfer window. Addition of Lalromawia can end their goalscoring woes.
